Dear parents/carers,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the St Bartholomew's website. I would like to thank you for visiting our site and hope that it provides an insight into our friendly village school and what we are able to offer.

Our core values are underpinned by our Christian character and are, Friendship and Love, Tolerance and Forgiveness and Trust and Hope, underpinning everything that we do to ensure that we are a FanTasTic school. All the staff work tremendously hard to provide a rich and varied curriculum so that our children develop the skills needed for life in a fast changing world; academic, social, personal and spiritual.

We are extremely fortunate to benefit from spacious grounds which enable our children to explore and experience learning, making learning fun and memorable. I hope and trust that you will visit the school to see for yourself the wonderful family that we have.

Our children are polite, courteous and look out for one another in a caring manner. They are fun and a real strength of our school. The nature of a small school is that every child is known by all the staff and nurtured in a loving environment.

I look forward to meeting you and answering any questions that you may have.

Our School Prayer

This is our school,

Let peace dwell here,

Let the rooms be full of contentment,

Let love abide here,

Love one another, Love of mankind,

Love of life itself,

Love of God

Let us remember that as many hands build a house,

So many hearts make a school

Best wishes,

James Shawley

Head Teacher
